At the University of Pennsylvania, JD Albert teaches Design for Manufacturability (MEAM514). The class covers engineering products for manufacturing including setting specifications, materials and processes, part cost estimation, and design for assembly.

JD also teaches the final studio class in the Integrated Product Design Master's Program. Over the course of the year, the students conceptualize a new product, design and engineer prototypes, and create business plans.

He previously taught Mechanisms for Designers, a project-based class where design students created working artistic machines.  Here are the final videos for 201320142015, and 2016.
